Coaches Matt Gilbert, Trey Edge and Curtis Gilbert offer indoor training sessions for players of all levels. Hardwire fundamentals, fine tune stick skills and learn strategies to up your game with these one hour sessions. Focused small groups ensure a high yield for each athlete.


Coach Matt Gilbert

Matt Gilbert is from Lawrenceville, GA. While at Peachtree Ridge High School, he played for both Atlanta Empire and LB3 Gwinnett. Currently, he is a sophomore defenseman for Berry College, where he is studying psychology. He coaches Thunder LB3 Gwinnett in the summers.


Coach Curtis Gilbert

Curtis Gilbert was hired as Berry’s head men’s lacrosse coach in September 2013. Over his tenure, Gilbert has compiled a record of 54-27 (113-76 career record) and an SAA record of 24-9.

Coach Gilbert has coached 43 All-SAA selections, 50 SAA Academic Honor Roll honorees and two SAA Offensive Players of the Year. He also led the 2015 squad to a regular-season title.


Coach Trey Edge

Trey Edge attended Darlington School where he played both Lacrosse and Football. He was named a Brine Lacrosse All-American. After attending Carson Newman on a football scholarship, he transferred to Shorter University to play Lacrosse. Coach Edge has a passion for Lacrosse and wants to see the sport grow in Rome and surrounding areas.
